About four months ago the right headlight on my Macan went out and after taking to the dealer, I was informed that the critical headlight failed (the car was less than five years old.  Taking the problem to the internet, I found the EXACT problem has occurred to many 2020 Porsche Macans, and seems limited to the right low beam headlight.  There are multiple cases reported on Reddit, Macan Forum, Rennlist and other Porsche boards.  The dealer informed me that the whole assembly needs to be replaced, which is what all of the posts online stated as well.  the cost to replace the assembly if $5,000 ($4,500 part, plus labor).  I'd estimate the vehicle is worth $40,000, so one headlight costs more than 10% of the vehicle value (?!?).  The dealer seemed to agree with me and checked with Porsche, who acknowledged the problem but said there has not been a recall.  A headlight is integral to the safe operation of the vehicle, and the car had no sensor to inform me it was out, and I only found out by a friend telling me.  At this stage the vehicle would not pass a safety inspection.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2020","productMake":"PORSCHE","productModel":"MACAN","manufacturer":"Porsche Cars North America, Inc."}]}]}
