I was able to pull over to safety, but was on the interstate going 75mph when my speed and vehicle power rapidly reduced.  The vehicles around me were able to rapidly to respond, changing lanes and avoiding my rapidly slowing vehicle, but had they not had such quick responsiveness, there could have been a very serious collision.  This unexpected failure destroyed the transmission and left me stranded.
