Obviously, this was a complete surprise and very dangerous to her in the control of the vehicle.  She stated that about a week prior to the collapse of the shade, there had been some rattling coming from an undetermined area in the car. The Massachusetts Ford Dealer (Balise Ford - Wilbraham, MA) she brought the vehicle to stated the sunroof falling in was \"not the result of a material defect.\" The dealership replaced the roof opening panel at a cost to us of $1120.00.  The defective part was not obtained from the dealer after repair.
