When the event occurs, the dash flashes \"P\" and states the vehicle needs to be shifted into park, and restarted.  First incident, I felt a hard thud when I shifted to drive.  Upon the second incident (roughly 200 feet/10 seconds from the first incident), the check engine light came on, and the same message appeared. Forcing me to shift to park, and then restart the vehicle.  The issue occurred for the 3rd time roughly 400 feet from where the second incident occurred.
