Not aware that the vehicle was in reverse, the car door was opened and the driver started to step out of the car.  At a high rate of speed (approximately 5-7 MPH), the vehicle automatically accelerated in reverse, the open car door hit the garage track and ripped the driver side door off.  the vehicle continued in reverse and slammed into an neighbor's structure.  With the car door opened, like many other cars, the car should not have moved.  with the driver not sitting in the seat, the car should not have moved.  the high rate of acceleration was an additional issue, whether that waas software related or not is unknown.  The driver side door was hanging by the electronics and the vehicle is still being accessed but the \"A\" frame is suspected to be bent.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2019","productMake":"LAND ROVER","productModel":"DISCOVERY","manufacturer":"Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC"}]}]}
