No warning lights appeared.   This is a safety issue.   This repair was expensive should not have happened at 79019 miles.  The problem was inspected and estimated by our Subaru dealer.  We were told that the radio/screen unit first needed replacement, then if that didn't fix it, to then replace the camera.  We were give a rough estimate of $2500 to replace both items.  We decided to get another estimate.
