Sometimes it comes on, then goes off. Doesn't come on other times. Next time you use it, it may come on.  Then it may work for a week without issues.  Obviously no picture allows potential for accidents. I have not taken it to the dealer as my son hasn't been able to afford the repair of replacing the camera which would be what they say. He has learned to not depend on it, until he can pay for new camera.   When camera doesn't come up, there is a message about having dealer service it.  I saw as I started this complaint, that it looks like there is a recall for this.
