This has been reported to the dealership and examined by them.  Although this was reported months ago, there has been no communication from the dealership. The dealer indicated that I am not alone in having this issue.   Thankfully, it has always reset to date, but it is not safe to drive when in this configuration. There are no warnings before it happens.
