If I had been in high rate of speed road traffic, this sudden loss of forward motion could have been catastrophic.  The vehicle was towed to the same dealer that performed the recall repair that was supposed to prevent this incident from occurring, results are attached.  There were no warning lights or signs of an impending problem.
