At 110k miles, transmission blew up. $12k minimum to replace, even with a used transmission. This needs to be a country-wide notification and Toyota needs to be held accountable. My transmission blew up at a stop light. If this had been on a major highway, the driver, passenger and outside drivers could have been seriously injured. Toyota should be replacing these free of charge and providing rentals. Canada already has a program in place to resolve this safety issue.
