When this message appears, the hybrid system overheats and the vehicle immediately loses power. The gasoline engine and electric motor both shut down without warning, even at highway speeds. I am forced to coast to the side of the road, which is extremely dangerous in traffic.  This happens after the vehicle has been driven for a short period of time. The cooling fans appear to be running, but the hybrid electronics system overheats and triggers the shutdown safety mode. After waiting for the vehicle to cool down, it will restart, but the problem continues every time the car reaches normal driving temperature.  This issue matches the symptoms covered under Ford’s previous safety actions and customer satisfaction programs for the 2005–2008 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner Hybrid (hybrid electronics overheating and shutdown). The dealership states that no recall appears under my VIN, but the safety failure is identical. The vehicle becomes unsafe and inoperable with no advance warning beyond the brief “Stop Safely Now” message.  This defect poses a serious risk of a crash, injury, or death due to the sudden loss of propulsion in traffic.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2007","productMake":"MERCURY","productModel":"MARINER","manufacturer":"Ford Motor Company"}]}]}
