The vehicle inadvertently decelerated to 45 MPH and failed to accelerate properly. Additionally, the brake lights failed to illuminate, and the engine fan was abnormally loud while driving. The contact was able to drive to the destination and turn off the vehicle. After restarting the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to O'Reilly Auto Parts, where DTC: P1098 for the coolant control valve (CCV) assembly was retrieved. The contact stated that a burning odor was outside the vehicle after the vehicle was turned off. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, but no diagnostic trouble codes were retrieved since the code was cleared by O'Reilly Auto Parts. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: N252508341 (Engine); however, the vehicle was not covered under the TSB. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline.
