I understand that federal safety standards indicate that when in this status, the vehicle should generate a sound so pedestrians can hear it.  The vehicle does NOT generate a Vehicle Sound malfunction alert when this occurs (and it should). This condition is reproducible all the time.  The service manager at Audi Dallas witnessed this condition and verified that it also occurred on a similar vehicle he had on the lot.    I called NHTSA several months ago to report this, but I cannot find a record of it online so am repeating the report.  If you do have a record of it, this is a redundant report.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"AUDI","productModel":"Q4 E-TRON","manufacturer":"Volkswagen Group of America, Inc."}]}]}
