It blocked traffic causing a potential danger to surrounding motorists and required assistance to be moved to a nearby parkin lot and later to be towed to the Chevrolet Dealership. The dealership confirmed that the transmission had failed. I subsequently took it to a specialist transmission shop that dismantled it an indicated that the torque converter had failed (a known problem with this year and model transmission) and that the failure had led to catastrophic damage to the transmission.  There were no warning signs other than a couple of hard shifts just prior to failure.  I was lucky that this occurred on a dry level street and not on a narrow mountain pass while pulling a trailer where the results could have been much different.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2015","productMake":"CHEVROLET","productModel":"SILVERADO 1500","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]}]}
