The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the fuel pump had failed, and that the engine had been contaminated and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel), which was performed in 2024. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty.
