Our first question was \"What was that?\" as we looked at each other.  Then I realize the rear window had suddenly shattered starting on the right side, and was slowly falling apart.   As this was only about a mile from my home, we immediately drove home. I contacted SafeLite Auto Glass to schedule an appointment to have the glass replaced thru my insurance company.  There was no warning this was about to happen, and neither one of us noticed anyone or anything near us as we were driving.
