And noticed the middle seat stopped reclining forward and backward. It it stuck in the upright position.   I looked online and saw a recall,  (NHTSA 21V-919 / Recall Y86) concerning the second-row center 2nd row bench seat recliner pull strap, which could bind and prevent the seatback from locking upright, violating safety standards; dealers fix this by adjusting or replacing the strap mechanism.
