In order to restart the vehicle, the transmission must be placed in the \u201cpark\u201d position. This happens intermittently after the vehicle has been driven for a longer distance. I have read that this is related to the fuel injection system getting overheated which causes the fuel supply to drop and basically starves the system of the necessary fuel for combustion.
