Since purchasing this Jeep it has had an intermittent burning smell. I was told by the dealership I got it at that it’s normal for burning smells on new cars. Well 13,700 miles later it’s still doing it and a couple of times I have seen smoke coming from the hood area up closer to the windshield area. I took my Jeep to another dealership on 11/29/2025. They drove it and smelled the burning but said they have checked everything and can not figure out where it’s coming from. They had me pick it up on 12/24/2025 and told me to bring it back if it did it again. On 12/26/2025 I returned the Jeep to the service department due to smelling the burning 3 times during the 3 days I had it. The service department still has my vehicle as of 1/12/2026 with no updates. I have contacted Stellantis and they have not done anything. The date to the question of when this happened, I put in the last time it did it. The first time I do not recall exactly but I did contact the dealership in Feb 2025 to inform them my car smelled like it was going to catch on fire sitting at a stop light.
