I was able to safely maneuver the vehicle to the emergency lane and contacted AAA to have it towed to nearest dealership. A fuel pump module was replaced- I have been following gmc recent recall of 600k which gives same scenario for their larger engine failure not including the 5.3L Ecotec V8 that I own. I experienced the same failure.
