After approximately 15 seconds I was able to use the gas pedal and the car drove.   My safety was at risk, this sudden stop jolted me hard.  If there was another vehicle behind me I would have been hit.  The warning messages were so quick and cleared away with seconds that I cannot recall.  I drove to my local dealer and the battery cables were checked and ok.  I scheduled an appt for Monday Feb. 2nd as this was Friday.
