It would crank for a lengthy period of time but the engine would not turn over to start.  Internet searches show that this is a widespread, known problem with Chrysler vehicles, yet only a small number of recalls have been issued. Unfortunately, my vehicle does not fall under the recall for unknown reasons.  I have been advised that the fuel pump and auxiliary fuel pump need to be replaced, which is a costly repair.
