I pulled over and looked underneath to where this Nut could have come from. I realized that the brake pedal was very loose. I did a Google search to see what break pedal Nut could have loosened and Fallen off. I identified that there was a recall for the brake pedal pivot nut on these trucks. From that, I looked up to that section and found that the nut did indeed come from that part. I called the local Chevrolet dealership and they informed me that my VIN number was not part of that recall list. It is obvious that General Motors left the numbers off of that recall for vehicles that are still being affected by that problem. I called General Motors customer service and spoke to Brandy at customer service and she was not willing to help and only told me to contact this government agency.
