Initially, the image became distorted, and shortly after, the screen went completely blank with a message instructing me to contact the dealership. I did so and was informed that my vehicle was not included in the recall and that I would be responsible for the repair costs out of pocket. I referenced the 15-year rearview camera extended warranty that applies to non-recalled vehicles. The dealership stated they were unaware of this warranty. As a result, I contacted Ford directly and opened a case with the Automotive Safety Office in November 2025. Today, I followed up with Ford to check on the status of my case and was told there has been no update. I was also informed that because there is no CSP number associated with the 15-year extended warranty for Edge models that are not actively recalled, Ford cannot take any action. I was essentially told that the warranty \u201cdoes not exist,\u201d despite the fact that it has been widely reported by major news outlets and automotive publications. I was further told that if my vehicle were currently at a dealership, they might be able to help, but since it is not, they cannot do anything. Ford also stated that while the issue could potentially be recalled in the future, there is no action they are willing to take at this time. This is a known Ford defect, and despite extensive documentation and public acknowledgment of the issue, Ford is refusing to repair it.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"FORD","productModel":"EDGE","manufacturer":"Ford Motor Company"}]}]}
