The contact stated that upon exiting the vehicle on several occasions, the contact felt an electrical shock from the exterior of the front driver's side door. The contact had replaced the batteries; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to start. The contact stated that upon disconnecting the fuel pump fuse and connecting an aftermarket fuse to the vehicle, the vehicle was able to start. The contact switched the original and the aftermarket fuse as needed to start the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle recently failed to start. The contact received a second recall notification, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the contact was informed that a wiring harness needed to be replaced; however, the recall part was not yet available and needed to be ordered. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
