Component: Both front tires are available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: Tread chunks are physically separating from the tire at the tread edge. Active delamination at highway speeds presents a serious blowout risk to myself, passengers, and other drivers. Prior symptoms: No warning lamps illuminated. Initial delamination was noticed earlier by a family member but was not fully examined at that time. Upon closer inspection at 19,225 miles, the extent of the tread chunking and delamination on both front tires was confirmed. The condition appears to have been progressive. Additional note: These tires are original equipment and have never been replaced. The vehicle has been driven exclusively on paved roads under normal conditions with no impacts, curb strikes, or overloading.
