This is a known issue with the early production model of the Ranger, hence the service bulletin SSM 51313. It is my belief that faulty parts were used on the early model Rangers and instead of a recall or extending the warranty on this issue only issued a service bulletin was put out. I am writing to have the Ford MOCO issue the proper recall or cover repairs under and extended warranty.
