The contact stated that occasionally, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost automotive power while driving over a ditch or speed bump. Several unknown warning lights were occasionally illuminated. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the negative and positive battery wiring cables were abnormally hot. The contact restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle was taken to a local dealer. The contact was informed that the fuse box, battery cables, and ground wiring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle occasionally failed to start with the ignition key; however, the contact was able to use a screwdriver to start the vehicle, and the starter was replaced by the same local dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
