The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate and stalled. An unknown service warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the vehicle and the vehicle was able to be restarted. On another occasion, while the vehicle was parked at the residence, the vehicle lost power, and the contact was locked inside the vehicle and was unable to open the doors. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and it was determined that a software update was needed.  The software update was completed; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
