A warning messaged appeared stating \"Transmission too hot stop safely.\" I was driving up a hill when this happened. I pulled over and turned the vehicle off for about two minutes. When I restarted the vehicle, the warning message disappeared even though the vehicle would not realistically have cooled down that quickly. The issue concerns me because it could create a dangerous situation in traffic if the vehicle loses power or hesitates to accelerate when pulling into traffic or climbing a hill. The problem has occurred without warning and does not leave and persistent warning lights afterwards. I am very scared to drive this car, especially when I have my child with me. If I need to move out of the way and someone is driving that is not paying attention, there will be an accident because of the hesitation and the non-movement when I accelerate.
