When I asked more questions they stated it was a fairly common problem with the XT4 and a few other models where there was a faulty seal at the \"T-joint\" (cam carrier T-joint). My car is no longer under warranty, but had under 26000 miles at the time. There were no warnings or symptoms. I would not have not if the dealer had not told me. The cost was estimated at $3254.45.
