My teenage son\u2019s first vehicle and he was driving with myself and younger son as passengers.  This could have been a very horrible situation.  Apparently this is a pretty widely discussed and common issue with this vehicle make (a quick google search proves this), and actually was recalled in the previous year model for this exact issue (reference NHTSA #21V213).  The issue was evidently not sufficiently corrected in the 2016 year models.
