Owner had noticed a rattle in the steering column before original new car warranty expired.  Original dealer could not locate the source years ago.  Problem completely vanished after the current control arm repair.  Owner is concerned that had rear passenger side shock absorber and front swing arm completely failed at the same time that vehicle would have departed.the road surface at speed.  Vehicle has 64,000 miles on it, relatively low, light mileage for a vehicle of this age.
