I tried again and my vehicle still failed to accelerate.  And on my third attempt, my vehicle decelerated and was about to completely stall.  I managed to turn into a parking lot and avoid getting rear ended.  However, this could have been a fatal event.  While I was trying to accelerate, the vehicle was quiet as if the car wasn't even running.  After shutting the engine off for awhile, I was able to drive the vehicle with caution.  I reached out to two Genesis service departments regarding my vehicle failing to accelerate while driving and neither had heard any previous complaints, and the earliest appointment would be mid April.  There was no sense of urgency, as I'm left to hesitantly drive my vehicle at the risk of it happening again and getting rear ended.  And when my vehicle does go in for service, I'm weary whether the problem will be resolved properly since the service department is unaware of the issue.  In addition, I have had this vehicle for only 4 months and 1 month into it, I already took it to service because of fuel odor that had not gone away since the day 1.  But the service department didn't find anything wrong with the vehicle, so nothing was done to it.  I also swung by another Genesis service department, in case they happened to be familiar with the cause of the odor.  My vehicle still has the fuel odor and now I'm wondering if that is related to my vehicle not accelerating.  I am seeking your assistance to ensure that the problems with my vehicle are confidently resolved.  And I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.
