The contact attempted to restart the vehicle several times and added fuel to the fuel tank jug; however, the vehicle failed to restart. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with a defective fuel pump module. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. Neither the manufacturer nor the dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
