Driving down I-15 in SLC when my Sunroof EXPLODED! 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, 22k miles, purchased new and sunroof came with the car. Sounded like a gunshot. Luckily, no one was injured by flying glass and kept the car stable. I could see how someone reacting to this sound might slam on their brakes or swerve the car or worse the driver could be cut by falling glass if the slider were open.  My \"damage\" is having to pay for a new roof. Toyota dealer tried to say that something hit my car and it wasn't a manufacturer defect. Right. Tell me how a rock is going to get past my large Thule cargo box to drop a hole like this one! I filed a claim with State Farm but the part is special and must be ordered. UP until yesterday I have never had any issues with the sunroof. Such a racquet.
