The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling at a stoplight and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to move forward and stalled. Several codes were displayed, including Charging System Service Now with the Battery Warning light illuminated. The vehicle lost power, and the hazard lights were inoperable. The contact stepped outside the vehicle to direct traffic around the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed that the alternator and battery had failed. The battery and alternator were replaced. The error codes illuminated again after having the vehicle repaired. The dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled. The dealer informed the contact that a PCM software update had been completed; however, the parts for the repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); was not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issues.
