This happens typically on a clear day when there should be no issues.  Turning off the car resets this.  Its unsettling because as there are quite a few blind spots in this vehicle you are dependent on the blind spot warning, especially in heavy traffic.  Reported it to dealer but they indicated since its intermittent there isn't much they can do.
