The work was performed and paid for without reimbursement from Ford as the 2014 Ford Escape was not listed in the recall.  The recall covered 2014 Ford Escape manufactured in the Louisville, Kentucky.  Our Escape is a 2014 Ford Escape, that was manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky.
