I still had power steering. When I rolled to a stop the message said \"press brake and put in park\". The truck put itself in park before I pressed the brake pedal. It took 3 attempts to get my truck started. I drove to Walker dealer in Alexandria, La., and reported problem. Service advisor put a computer on the truck and it had a code. We made an appointment for 4-7-26 to get it resolved. I left my truck at the dealership at 8:30am and picked it up at 5pm. Advisor said they fixed a code and everything else checked out in OK status. That part was under warranty so no charge. The same thing happened last summer but I did not report it as I was able to start the truck and thought I had done something wrong. I am scared to make a trip anywhere and leave me stranded. I now make sure I have towing coverage. Because it is something that has to do with computers, I have to stay close to a dealership because their computer tools are proprietary. The truck gave no warning or indication of any kind. It just died. I keep all my paperwork from the dealership. I bought the truck with 2000 miles on it.
