The car will not accelerate even with the gas pedal fully depressed. It has happened four times so far. Safety issue because when I’m pulling out into traffic to make a left or right turn, the car will not accelerate and therefore can get hit by oncoming traffic, especially when I am trying to merge into a lane with oncoming traffic. The car crawls and will not accelerate. My car is a hybrid vehicle. It almost feels as if the non electric engine doesn’t kick on when it is supposed to. The car will crawl for about 5-10 seconds before the engines engages and kicks on the acceleration. There are no warning lights or indication that anything is malfunctioning when this happens.
