At one year and approximately 5000 miles I personally did the first oil change. Car was approximately 3 quarts low on oil after draining the oil for the oil change. Filled up to manufacturers recommendation. Two months later and approximately 1000 miles on the car, the car was 1 quart low.  GM has a bulletin on this very issue bulletin number 01\u20130 6\u20130 1\u2013011N.  Started oil consumption test through the dealer. Dealer stated the first remedy is replacement of a valve, followed by another consumption test.
