Had truck 6' off of road, though with semis and cars passing at 70mph, I left and waited in the ditch for the tow truck. The electronics worked, but the engine was dead and would not start. When the tow truck arrived, the wheels were locked up and they used rollers to haul the truck to the dealership.  After the dealer inspected the truck, they sent a message saying they could not turn the engine over by hand.  The engine had metal shavings in the oil filter and after removing a valve cover, found metal contamination circulated throughout the engine.  The engine, radiator, oil cooler lone, and battery junction box all require replacement.  This truck has a 6.2L L87 engine, and the dealer has had several other vehicles with the same blown engine failure.  The truck was in for the recall on this issue about a month before the engine went out, they placed a pico scope in the engine to check the drive shaft, and then added a heavier oil.  No warning lights came on until the engine died.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"GMC","productModel":"SIERRA 1500","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]}]}
