The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while driving on a local roadway and descending a hill, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted out of gear, and the contact temporarily lost control of the vehicle, which then independently accelerated. The contact subsequently regained control of the vehicle. Additionally, the ABS was inoperable during the failure.
