Suddenly I heard a \u201cpop\u201d sound coming from behind me and noticed in my rear view mirror the rear windshield had a small hole in it. I had just merged into the far left passing lane when this occurred and then proceeded to merge to exit onto Exit 104 (McAshan Dr./ McCalla). As I continued to drive glass began to shatter and the hole expanded. I was initially startled and afraid because I didn\u2019t know what was happening. Once I exited, I parked at the Flying J truck stop and exited the vehicle to further assess. I called my parents and then a Bessemer Police officer to file a report.
