The noise occurs during normal braking conditions and has been present from the very first use of the vehicle. This is not a break-in issue, as it has never resolved on its own. Despite initially denying the issue, Toyota and the dealership have since acknowledged the problem and confirmed the existence of a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) addressing brake noise on this vehicle. However, despite multiple contacts with both the dealership and Toyota Motor North America directly, no corrective action has been taken, and the defect remains unresolved. This constitutes a known manufacturing defect acknowledged by Toyota themselves.
