I was able to pull aside of the highway and turn the car off and then back on. That seemed to reset it but the steering wheel kept shaking on its own. I drove it to the nearest car mechanic and explained the problem. I was told it’s very common on the Pontiac G6 and that there is a recall for this issue. Now unfortunately when we look up the car by VIN it says it doesn’t have a recall but the mechanic and myself have done research and there’s a notice about the Pontiac G6 have this exact same issue about the power steering. The problem is very concerning and is also very consistent as it does not go away unless a specific part is replaced which has been inspected and confirmed to be the exact part that is listed on the recall notice.
