The noise is uncontrollable (volume does not respond), and the only way to stop it is to turn the vehicle off.  This creates an enormous safety hazard due to the sudden, high-volume noise that startles, distracts, and lastly impairs hearing and situational awareness while driving (especially at highway speeds)  The issue occurs intermittently and appears to worsen after the vehicle has been running for some time or upon start up when it is hot outside. Based on similar reports from other owners, this appears to be a widespread defect involving the infotainment/head unit.   I love my 2016 honda accord, but I cannot afford to shell out over $1200+ to replace the head unit to fix the problem. Many people are encountering this problem and as widespread as it is, it should have a recall placed on it :(","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2016","productMake":"HONDA","productModel":"ACCORD","manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)"}]}]}
