The dealership confirmed coolant in the cylinders and stated the only repair is a full long-block engine replacement, quoted at approximately $12,000. Ford Motor Company has acknowledged this defect affects 2015\u20132018 Edge vehicles with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, yet has refused to issue a recall or provide financial assistance to affected owners. This is a manufacturing defect \u2014 not owner-caused damage \u2014 as Ford's own TSB identifies erosion and corrosion of the engine block as the root cause. Ford Customer Service declined to assist when contacted.
