At the time of the incident, the vehicle was parked in a gravel driveway at an RV park, which is a typical residential parking environment. Damage to a fuel line presents a potential safety hazard, including risk of fuel leakage, fire, or sudden vehicle disablement. In this case, the failure occurred without warning and rendered the vehicle unusable. A significant amount of fuel was observed leaking beneath the vehicle and onto the ground. The dealership confirmed the damage and advised that the repair would replace the component with the same or similar material. This repair does not provide any mitigation to prevent recurrence of the issue. It is my understanding that some automotive components may utilize plant-based materials, which have been widely reported to attract rodents. If applicable, this may increase the likelihood of repeated damage to critical vehicle systems.
